Language of instruction
The course is taught in Faroese. The textbooks are in Danish, and other instructional materials are in English, and Danish. Group work, presentations etc. are in Faroese.
Registration
Students on the third and fourth academic year of Bachelor of Education in Pedagogical Development apply for specialised subjects via Moodle. Applicants for an individual course may apply via the Faculty of Education Office by sending an email to NAD@setur.fo, if there are available places.

Academic content
Purpose
The purpose with this course, is for the student to get relevant professional, didactical, and theoretical knowledge as foundation for outdoor pedagogical processes, based on the Faroese society, and this working with relations in the pedagogical field.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • Explain and interpret basic theory regarding outdoor activity. • Describe critically what characterizes nature and children, based on the current laws within the field. • Relate critically and analytically to the teaching methods, regarding outdoor relationship practice that supports concentration and absorption. • Acquire knowledge about natural science as pedagogical work. • Analyze outdoor pedagogical work in accordance to a theoretical foundation which emphasizes learning and development.
Content
Diverse processes to nature and children as pedagogical themes within: • Views about nature • Outdoor integration • Actvities within in nature and culture • Concentration and absorption • Work with relations • Sustainability and the environment • Creative outdoor pedagogic • Science as outdoor pedagogical work
Learning and teaching approaches
Lecture, group work, guidance, individual assignments, individual and group presentation in different forms. Step forward and do short presentations on selected important outdoor pedagogical themes. In addition to this, there will be small exercises and tasks. Which processes that will be used is dependent on the teaching subject.
