The course is taught in Faroese. Instructional materials are in Scandinavian languages and Faroese. Group work, presentations, assignments etc. are in Faroese.

Students on the fourth semester of Bachelor of Education in Pedagogical Development are automatically enrolled. Applicants for an individual course may apply via the Faculty of Education Office, if there are available places.

Academic content
Purpose
On this course the students will get knowledge about the special pedagogical working field. The purpose with the course is for the student to be able to intertwine theory with practice.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • Intertwine relevant theory with the practical part. • Relate critically og analytically to the laws, policies and rules that apply to the special pedagogic field • Explain and take into account stages of development and conditions for the people she/he takes care of • Work, co-operate and communicate with colleges and the people she/he takes care of in regard to creating a developing and instructive environment
