Language of instruction
The course is taught in Faroese. The textbooks are in Danish, and other instructional materials are in Faroese, Danish, and English. Group work, presentations etc. are in Faroese.
Registration
Students on the third and fourth academic year of Bachelor of Education in Pedagogical Development apply for specialised subjects via Moodle. Applicants for an individual course may apply via the Faculty of Education Office by sending an email to NAD@setur.fo, if there are available places.

Academic content
Purpose
The purpose of the course is for the student, based on pedagogical and didactical theory, to be able to prepare a curriculum plan and use the plan in the daily work in the institutional field. Focus will be on diet and social development, in addition the connection between the physics, psyche, and sociality, based on the immediate environment, in water and in the institutional area.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: • Describe and analyze curriculum about movement in the institutional area. • Prepare a movement and development plan for the daily work in an institution • Describe basic body teaching and movement development. • Explain and analyze dietary guidelines. • Reflect, discuss, and evaluate pedagogical development processes in physical education.
Content
The course includes these main topics: • Fundamental theory about body language and movement skills. • Fundamental knowledge about health and diet. • Two weeks practicum. • Prepare a curriculum plan, carry out and evaluate it in relation to the practicum. • Fundamental theory about social development and co-operation. • Swimming lessons (water activities) - Safety and movement in the water. Safety, life-saving and first aid.
Learning and teaching approaches
The lessons are structured with lectures, guest lectures, discussions, group an individual assignments, showings, and practicum. In addition, there are practical exercises.
